Sonography has different modalities

Clinical use:

  • To detect heart Activity earliest by 5-6 weeks and bringing hope and smile to expecting mother and to be father
  • To pick up early fetal malformations. At 12 weeks nearly 6% malformations can be picked up
  • To pick up early diagnosis of pregnancy failure, Ectopic pregnancy, Pathology like V. mole, Mss lesion or malformations of Uterus & adnexa.
  • To Screen For Possibility of Pregnancy induced Hypertension at 12 weeks and 20-24 weeks by sampling Maternal Uterine A.
